Abstract
This article summarizes literary data about specific colonisation of secondary thickened stems and roots by non-systemic endophytic fungi. It's a modified text from bachelor's thesis Kovaříčková (2010).
It explains mycological terms "peridermal and subperidermal bark" in light of plant anatomy.
