Abstract

The aim of this article was presented the results of the pilot study that considered the influence of taping on muscle activity. Using the surface electromyography m.biceps brachii during isometric contraction of the intensity of 30%MVC in stages with and without tape apllied by three different ways and two different materials (elastic and non-elastic) by five healthy subjects has been assessed.

The result shows that during the application of the tape in the direction of the muscle fibres of underlaying muscle, muscle activity of this muscle during isometric muscle contraction can be changed.
