Abstract
The publication is based on a thorough analysis of books and other types of printed and non-printed material identified during the processing of personal library belonging to the reputable writer, journalist and philosopher Karel Capek (1890-1938).The publication offers a unique possibility to approach one of the most distinguished figures of the 20th century from a "book culture" perspective.
