Abstract

Development of stroke morbidity and mortality in the CR is disproportionate. Mortality is declining, the incidence has stagnated, leading to increasing the disease burden.

The development is caused by te combination of unbalanced individually oriented medicine and failing control of determinants of this disease. The work compares the development in the CR with the situation in the EU and U.S.
