Abstract
The paper presents the events increasing pupils' interest in chemistry at elementary schools in Blansko district, namely "Heyrovsky Cup" "The Best Experiment" and the project "A Few Days with Chemistry." All the events are recommended for 8th year students. We try to encourage students' ambitions to discover the world of chemistry in a playful way.
Based on questionnaires, we can state pupils are fond of such competitions in chemistry which motivate them to participate in the Chemistry Olympiad, category D.
