The rights of children with intellecual disabilities in the Czech Republic in the context of the Convention on the Rights of the Child UN

Abstract
United Nations adopted the 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child. According to this Convention a child shall not be misused and abused; child has the right to quality education, health care, family life.
The analysis of implementation of the Convention in the context of children with intellectual disabilities indicates shortcomings in all areas surveyed in the Czech Republic. Among the causes of this condition has been detected limited interest of the public same as professionals on the issue of children with intellectual disability and conceptual shortcomings in the state child care policy.
