Scheme-Oriented mathematics education: Spider web mathematical environment

Abstract

The aim of the paper is to describe and illustrate scheme-oriented education. The concept of generic model as a tool for construction of autonomous knowledge is explained and illustrated by four basic generic models of low natural numbers.

How a set of generic models builds a scheme is demonstrated. The concept of mathematical environment is clarified and illustrated by the mathematical environment Spider web.
