Abstract

Patients with end-stage renal disease have low levels of physical functioning than healthy population. We submit a study assessing level of functional physical capacity by The Senior Fitness Test batery in randomized group of 50 after renal transplant patients.

In comparison with long-term dialysis patients have after renal transplant patients increased level of functional physical capacity (in 5 tests from 6, pLESS-THAN OR EQUAL TO0.05 and less, ANCOVA), but their level of physical functioning haven't reached level of normal population (39% of transplant patient with under or on lower limit of the norm). Appropriate physical intervention improving level of physical functioning should be a part of after kidney transplant medical care.
