Abstract
The author characterizes cooperation of the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic in the field of teaching music,competitions, festivals, concerts, the use of media technologies in music lessons, analysis and comparison of teacher training programs. It focuses on the mission and roles Ph.D. studies play in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic, and defines significance of pedagogical benefits of activities and works by František Sedlák and Jaroslav Herden.
