The Town, Region and the Ruler in the Late Medieval and Early Modern Historiography of the Upper Lusatian Towns on the Example of the Town of Görlitz

Abstract

In the chronicles of Görlitz the author follows the medieval presentation of the history of the town and the depiction of its belonging to Upper Lusatia and the Bohemian Crown. The tradition of the dynasty seems to be the strongest bond.
