Effect of whole body vibration training on selected parameters of postural stability in beachvolleyball players

Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe postural stability of beachvolleyball players and to evaluate effect of whole body vibration training on selected parameters of postural stability in beachvolleyball players. Whole body vibration training is relatively new method of neuro-muscular training.

Subjects were beachvolleyball players starting in Czech national competitions. Experimental group absolved 6 weeks intervention training program.

Pressure plate FOOTSCAN were used to measure postural stability and selected parameters of postural stability were used to evaluation of effect. Measured results showed positive influence of whole body vibration training on postural stability of beachvolleyball players.
