Abstract
In 17 chapters the book presents leading artists of contemporary (1985 - 2010) Russian culture from different areas: literature, art, cinema, theatre, performance, music. The introduction describes main problems and features of the early postsoviet period in cultural movement.
Each chapter consists from brief information about the author and the overview of his work, following by essay about his aesthetics. The third part of each portrait is an interview with the author in the innovative form combining parts of interviews from different times and of different interviewers.
