Abstract
The article deals with d'Aubignac's views on the Unity of time. It shows that his conceptualization is based on the conviction of the necessity of verisimilitude.
The time of the represented action should, ideally, be the same as the time the spectator passes in the theatre. In other case, the needed illusion might not be obtained.
