Publication at Faculty of Arts |

Abstract

The article, based on a conference pronounced in Varsaw, in october 2010, summarizes the history of Czech approaches (1850-2000) to translating both Spanish Romancero and romances written by modern Spanish authors. The author shows how some Czech translators manipulated the original poetic texts by excluding its principal formal features (rhymes and assonaces).
