Position of the Queens of Lagash in Early Dynastic Period

Abstract

Contribution maps the position of the wives of three kings of the Sumerian city-state Lagash /Girsu at the end of the Early Dynastic period. It is based on primary sources of economic archive of the temple of the goddess Baba and shows a high commitment to Queens in the economic sector of the state.
