The process of discovery in teaching focusing on building scheme

Abstract

In scheme-oriented education new knowledge is discovered and articulated by pupils themselves. What is of key importance in the educational strategy is the process of dissemination of an idea discovered by one or few pupils to the whole class.

This process, which we call cognitive osmosis, is illustrated, described and analysed on the basis of theory of generic models.
