Abstract
The author focuses on investigation of cognitive load-related limitations in simultaneous interpreting through local analyses. In such analyses, cognitive load imported from the unfinished processing of the previous segment can be a determinant of the interpreting difficulty of the current segment.
In her experiment, manipulation of intersentence pauses and a focus on local segments will be used.
