Abstract

Ľudovít Štúr (1815-1856) is the most famous personality of Slovak history, he founded the Slovak written language, he edited the first Slovak political newspaper, he was the first deputy of the Hungarian parliament, who defended Slovak national interests. He was the leader of political and revolutionary movement in 1848.

In 1851 he wrote the book "The Slavdom and the World of the future", in which he defined the concept of Slovak and Hungarian separation.
