Abstract
text for the monography of Dominik Lang for Venice Biennieal 2011 is focused to the problematics of Czech art 1950 - 1960. It reflects the position of srtist in the atmosphere of political demagogy and cultural decline.
It opens question about the capacity of artist to overcome these limits and mentions both personal and political limits as the frequent reason of artistic failure.
