Abstract
We deal with the Narcissus' and narcist's relation to time attempting to penetrate at its bottom, at ontological structure of temporality of narcist personnalities. Along a double vector, that of mythocritics and that of freudian conception of narcissism, we examine the mythic plot gave to the psychoanalytical vision of narcissism with many references to literary texts issued from the decadence and the symbolism of the end of 19th century.
As characters of the narcist temporality we find the following: desertion of the reproductive cycle; rejection of sexual procreation; institution of an opposed temporal direction; fantasmatic return at intrauterin achronicity; castration of temporality itself. We call this complexe narcist subject's temporal strategy, "narcist temporal fantasm".
