A report on the initial field documentation of temporary exposures during construction of the subway line A at Praha - Červený vrch (Vokovice)
Abstract
The temporary exposures excavated during the construction of the subway line A at Praha - Červený vrch (Vokovice) have been documented. The deeper-water, poorly diversified association of the lowermost part of the Corymbograptus retroflexus Zone consists of infrequent graptolites (Corymbograptus retroflexus, Didymograptus (s.l.) stanislavi, Aulograptus cucullus, Undulograptus novaki and Undulograptus sp.), phyllocarid crustaceans Caryocaris subula and Caryocaris wrighti, orthocone cephalopod and brachiopods.
Ichnofossils unexpectedly common at some layers are represented by ichnogenera Spirophycus, ?Didymaulichnus, Planolites, and ?Arenicolites. A rich trilobite fauna of unknown stratigraphic position was found during the early stage of the excavation.
