Prevention of psychosocial pathology - Prevention begins in early childhood

Abstract

This chapter introduces an issue of early psychological development of child and its significance. Prenatal development with emphasis on mother-child communication is briefly mentioned, and birthing options, possible risks, early neonatal period synchronization of mother - child interaction are discussed.

Socio-emotional child development in child's first year of life is emphasized.
