The drawer's handwriting in Alfred Kubin's 'graphic novel' "The other side" (1908)

Abstract

The article investigates the influence of Alfred Kubin's double talent as drawer and writer on his novel "The other side". In it the weakening of colours, the emphasis on contrasts in the narrative technique and the blurring of the concrete can be observed as elements of graphic depiction techniques.
