Abstract
Article presents main result from qualitative research, which run during school year 2009/10. Research was pointing at main reasons, which leads parents for choosing 8-yers gymnasium for their children to study.
The process o choosing this type of school was also in the centre of interest. Results of the research pointed at some typical parents attitudes towards the study career of their children and pointed at some influencing factors, which helps to form a decision.
