Abstract
The review deals with Peter Burke's book "The French Historical Revolution: the Annales School, 1929-1989". It focuses on anthropological perspective of the Annales School and generation split of historians connected with historical journal "Annales: économies. societés. civilisations." Moreover, Peter Burke analyzed in his great book representative texts which have been perceived by many historians in other European, American and Asian countries.
