Abstract

After 1945, the Veseli Moravou gradually began to change. Factories were nationalized and gradually formed a new one.

Industrialization and the transformation of its structure culminated in the 60 years, when Jihomoravské trubkárny a tažírny were established, later converted into Železárny Veselí. With the industrialization of the city there was a sharp increase in population (between 1948 and 1970, the number more than doubled) and construction of new settlements, which have improved the quality of life for local residents.

Large part of the population was also affected by collectivization of agriculture and the creation of agricultural cooperatives, later transformed to the state farm. During the 50th have gradually disappeared individual trades.

The town has grown in that time, were connected villages Zarazice and Milokošť. With the support of the population have experienced changes connected with the Prague Spring in 1968.
