Abstract
As in 1968, inhabitants of Veselí nad Moravou co-activate themself in 1989 when the communist regime fell. After 1989, different challenges waited for town residents: from the losses of jobs, rising unemployment, through the freedom to realize themself in the personal and public life, to fight the floods in 1997.
