Abstract
Osteoporosis is polygenic disease with polygenic types of heritability. The association-studies have found hundreds of potential candidate genes, nowadays are going to be replaced by genome-wide studies.
Epigenetics, nutrition, vitamins are also very important. Pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics are perspective fields in the therapy management.
