Chronological relevance of bread baking forms - A case study from the Abusir South cemetery

Abstrakt

In this study, the morphological and metric development of the main types of bread baking forms from the recent excavations in the cemeteries of Abusir South shall be compared with the known assemblages from the Memphite necropolis. Also, their chronological relevance within the span of Old Kingdom shall be analyzed, especially from the point of chronological sensitivity and reliability of fine versus rough wares that has been raised recently.
