Border regional "Periphery" as a catalyst for foreign language contacts and intercultural communication in economy

Abstract
The article reports about a conference of 33 scientists from seven Central European countries discussing the part of German as a (foreign) language of economy in zones of contact with its neighbouring regions. Besides focussing on questions of foreign language didactics the articles also deal with intercultural communication and special projects and institutions in the border area.
