Abstract

The Atmark is a cultural region forgotten in the 19 century, but very important for the older cultural history. It was for a long time a part of Duchy of Brandemburg, but it had as "The Old Mark" west of the Elbe quite independent position.

Cultural peak of this region dates between 1300-1600
