Abstract

The invasive Nearctic treehopper Stictocephala bisonia Kopp et Yonke, 1977 was first recorded from the Czech Republic in 1994. Since that time, it has spread to lowlands and low hilly regions mainly in southern and northern Moravia.

Recently, it has also been found in central Moravia. In autumn 2010, S. bisonia was recorded for the first time in north-eastern and central Bohemia.

We present a list of these and other recent records as well as an up-to-date map of the distribution of S. bisonia in the Czech Republic.
