The utilization of experience from the clinical semester in the preparation of teaching practice implementation in master's postgraduate studies

Abstract

This article gives a description of two models of teaching practice at The Faculty of Education of Charles University in Prague. The first model represents so called 'clinical semester' which was attended by the last students of non-structured (M.Ed.) studies in the spring semester of the academic year 2008/2009.

The second (new) model has been developed in the context of faculty's transition to structured studies which will be launched in the academic year 2009/2010. The article describes the results of a scientific research the aim of which was to gather opinions and comments from those students who were the last ones to attend the first (old) model of teaching practice.

It is our intention to make use of their viewpoints and suggestions for the purpose of the continuous development of the new model of teaching practice.
