Abstract

Central European Conference on Osteoporosis, held in Budapest, November 2009, agreed on approaches that allow most efficient and cost-effective diagnosis and therapy of osteoporosis in central European countries. FRAX implementation, bone turnover markers, fracture risk and therapy monitoring are considered as most important.

Consensus and recommendations are summarised in the progress report.
