Sixty years passed since the end of the Greek Civil War. This anniversary is a unique opportunity to remember in Greek and even in European history a very special event that is closely associated with the phenomenon of forced migration.
The workshop Sixty Years After. Memory of Greek Civil War Refugees in Czechoslovakia, 1949-2009 tried to put the life experiences of Greek immigrants in the Czech Republic in a broader socio-political context by presentation of about 60 eyewitnesses' accounts.
The project was implemented within the program Geschichtswerkstatt Europa of the German Foundation Erinnerung, Verantwortung, Zukunft (EVZ).
