Induction of muscle thermogenesis by high-fat diet in mice: association with obesity-resistance

Abstract

Different resistance to obesity of two strains of mice (C57BL/6J and A/J) is reflected by different induction of thermogenesis by high-fat diet. Resistance to obesity is associated with induction of nonshivering thermogenesis in muscle.
