A GC-MS Method for Analysis of 8-Methoxypsoralen During New Immunomodulatory Therapy by Photopheresis

Abstract

New capillary gas chromatographic-mass spectrometric method for quantitative analysis of 8-methoxypsoralen has been established and validated. Sample preparation included liquid-liquid extraction into diisopropyl ether after alkalization and addition of the internal standard 5-methoxypsoralen.

Ions of m/z 216 (for 8-MOP) and m/z 173 (for 5-MOP) were recorded for data evaluation
