Abstract

Papal curial had already from the twenties of the 20th century interest in revival of activity of the Czech College in Rome, which was believed to be one of the most effective means for reform of Czechoslovakian clergy. The construction of a new college was supposed to start in 1925, but the initiation was delayed.

Among other things the question of nationality of the rector was debated. In accordance with the proposal of Prague nunciature was the position of rector left to an Italian.
