The article follows the origins of the cult of St. Adalbert (+ 997), Bishop of Prague.
His main propagator was the emperor Otto III (+ 1002) and the bishop of Liège Notger (+ 1008). The emperor gave to build on the important places of Roman Empire churches to the honour of St.
Adalbert - in Aachen, Affile (near of Subiaco), Rome (Isola Tiberina), Pereo near Ravenna, Reichenau, while the bishop Notger built a church in Liège and gave to write Vita s. Adalberti prior, which has spread around whole Europe.
