Cooling methods up-to-date: quickly and frantically?

Abstract

The authors compare available cooling methods that are used for mild therapeutic hypothermia induction in patients surviving cardiopulmonary resuscitation after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Special attention is paid to surface cooling, fast intravenous administration of cold crystalloid infusions and selective cooling of the head.
