Ideology as a Thinking of Totality

Publication |
2007

Abstract

Following H. Arendts analyses in The Origins of Totalitarianism on the background of some of Hegels dialectical elements in Phänomenologie des Geistes, the paper discusses the structure of a specific régime of speech, namely ideology, and its intrinsic requirement of self-realisation, including its most extreme form, which is the machinery of totalitarian terror.
