Abstract
Human dignity is connected with terms such as respect, autonomy and empathy. The research survey in 2008 showed how nurses perceive the respect of human dignity.
Empathy to a patient is very important; via the nurse the patient has to understand that he/she is not deprived of dignity because of the illness.
