Monitoring of the very early changes of left ventricular diastolic function in patients with acute leukemia treated with anthracyclines

Abstract

Author evaluated early onset of diastolic dysfunction in patients with acute leukemia treated with anthracyclines with the use of echocardiography (analyze of trnasmitral flow before and during therapy). he showed that in patients with acute leukemia treated with anthracyclines develops very early diastolic dysfunction. The significante of the study is in early diagnosis of cardiotoxicity.
