Abstract
Intrauterine system Mirena is reliable form of contraception suitable for family planning.After replacememt of Mirena fertility is quickly recovered. Besides contraceptive effect Mirena has other advantages as reduction of blood loss during menstruation or amenorrhea, loss of dysmenorrhoea.
Mirena can be used for the therapy of menorrhagia and as progestagen component in HRT.
