Supraconvencional Dose Escalation in IMRT for Prostate Cancer with Use of Simultaneous Integrated Boost

Abstract

IMRT is the standard treatment option for prostate cancer. Dose escalation lead to the better tumour control.

By use of SIB it is possible to escalate dose only for prostate. The dose on organ at risk is minor than in dose escalation for the whole irradiated volume.

The expected result is the better local control with similar toxicity of radiotherapy.
