Abstract

Hemapheresis is therapeutic method for selective taking of some part of blood. The apheresis technics could be divided to two large groups: donor apheresis (production of transfusion units) and therapeutical apheresis.

Authors explain selective depletion of blood cells (erythrocytapheresis, leucopheresis, thrombocytapheresis) and their indications. The plasma exchange is indicated in various diseases in hematology, neurology and rheumatology.

Authors describe new selective methods of extracorporeal elimination of various substancies from patient plasma with using special filters or colons. Hemorheopheresis can additionaly increase blood flow in microcirculation and is used in treatment of some diseases.
