Assessment of acute and chronic cardiac toxicity of anthracyclines with electrocardiography

Abstract

Cardiac toxicity is among the relatively frequent and potentially serious complications of antitumorous treatment. From cytostatics, anthracyclines represent the greatest risk.

Various methods have been recommended for diagnostics of cardiotoxicity. The article deals with the potential of electrocardiography in the diagnostics of cardiac toxicity of anthracyclines and contains own experience of the authors.
