Abstract
This article traces the role of European culture in the making of modern European identity. The author analyses the cultural dimension of European integration and emphasizes the importance of traditional European values in today's globalizing world.
In addition, it discusses immigration to Europe and the acceptance of European values by the newcoming immigrants.
