Abstract
Socialism, blending it together with a discussion of the legacy of the regime on the collective mentality of Germans after the war. The article analyzes this work in the context of historiographical debates about National Socialism and in the context of other Wolf's publications and involvement in the public life of the GDR.
The article focuses on the intersections of generational narrative, gendered dimensions of the narrative and relationship between the meaning of memory in history and literature.
