Memoirs of John Addington Symonds (1840-1893): Dilemmas and Predicaments of Autobiographic Remembering.

Abstract

This article discusses discoursive construction of ones sexual and gender identity. It also brings a close-reading and edited excerpts from the original manuscripts.

Lastly, it confronts the original passages with teh later editions in order to illustrate what I term as the epistemology of homosexuality.
